Check my sig for a pic of my 2k Max on airbags. This is a prototype setup and we believe it is the first of it's kind for the 2k's. What'cha think?

Maybe 100 lbs. That includes all the lines, tanks, valves etc... Not that much weight really.

I don't think that it would take too much to adapt this setup to a 4th gen. I'm still working on the trunk, and getting my speakerbox reinstalled. I'll post pics of the tanks & compressors soon. We set the car up so that it will drive while pancaked. It's bumpy, but drivable. The next step is to sit the frame on the ground!!

I think that's a bit too extreme. Does it serve any purpose other than looks? Do you actually drive it like that on a regular basis or is it just for cruising the strip?

I only ask because I don't understand why someone would do that.

I blacked them out. I tried using a spray tint like Nightshade, but it wasn't dark enough. So I applied high gloss acrylic paint to the outside of the lenses. When on, just a hint of the interior light shows through, when off they're pitch black.

Thanks. I plan to add the Stillen Areo kit in Jan or Feb, in time for Stillen's Maxima Day. That will eat up more of the ground gap and make it appear even lower. The exhaust is factory with 2 new chrome tips welded in place.

You're correct. It is extreme. I drive this car everyday and have zero problems with it. It is purely a visual mod to grab attention. When I have it level, you'd never even guess it's on bags, then I hit one switch and it pancakes flat. I did it to be unique. The ride is actually way softer then factory because you're literally riding on cushions of air.

Although it comes short of full blown hydraulics, it is a serious setup. It isn't for everyone. You wouldn't want to road race in this car now, but it does exactly what I wanted it to do when we started this crazy project. Get your attention.

Can you drive it when it is totally lowered? Are you on the west coast, I don't see stuff like this here in NY too often!

Yes, it is drivable when it is pancaked. The ride is very bumpy, and I've only done it in parking lots, never the street. Right now there's about 2.5 inches of ground clearance underneath when it's all down.

Yup, it's a West Coast thing. I'm in So. Cal.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to get that setup complete? That looks amazing!

Thanks. It's really hard to put a price on it. It took over 2 months to get everything engineered and installed. Then the teasting/tweaking came. Now that a prototype has been developed, the kits should be fairly reasonable. Depending on how radical you want to go, electric valves, digital pressure gauge, 10 switch box, all of which I have can add alot to the cost of the basic kit.
