Re: how to attach pics???

If you want to attach the photo to the thread as a one time post you have two options:

1) Click on "IMG" above the text input area. Make sure the image is less than 50k (if i remember correctly that's the size limit on the board). Or,

2) Put your photo online elsewhere and link to it using the "http://" link above the text input area.

As for the "permanent photo" am i right to presume you mean the signature? If so, click on the "profile" link on the upper right hand corner of the page and go to "edit profile". From there there's a box for "Signature" where you can put anything you wish.

Hope that helps

SoundMike,

I want to do the same. Clicking on 'IMG' wants an input starting with 'http:// ' which I thought was a link. I have a .jpg file on my hard drive I want to attach to a post.

(I'm sure I've missed something but I'm not sure what)

Thanks if you can help.

Basically 1 and 2 is the same, the difference would be 1 puts the photo in the message and 2 will just link to it (less clutter on the message).

You'll have to find a place to put the image online first however so you can link to it.

I do have good news though, give me a couple more days and i should have the unofficial Org photo hosting service up and running
