Long I35 Test Drive

Dealer dropped off the sales manager's I35 w/sport package, silver with black leather, for me to test drive over night. 4k miles on it, though it looks brand new. Just took it for a long ride. I am amazed at the monstrous power this thing puts out. The transmission shifts very smoothly and timely. Interior fit and finish is impressive. I'll drive it more tomorrow before returning and closing deal (on identical new one). Tried to find a loaded 6 speed max in my area with no luck, so turned to the I35. Looks like loaded 6 speeds are rare, maybe price point is just too high for the bulk of the demand (quite a few minus leather, and still quite a few early ones hanging around without HLSD, but that's about it). Two dealers checked New England inventory and neither got back to me with a find. Oh well, too bad, as the wife had bought in to the 6 speed notwithstanding her inability to drive one. Thanks again to all of you, this forum has been invaluable to me in deciding between the max/I35 and TLS (for the most part). I'll post again when and if I take delivery.

Congrats man! You will like your ride. I was waiting for a 2k2 SE 6-spd, but the dealers were trippin'. They wanted sticker, and had few to choose from. One dealer was caught in lies, etc. So I went to the Infiniti dealer...got my I35 cheaper than my lowest quote for a 6-spd max. I miss the shifting, but like the car. Mabye I will find a girlfriend that has a 2k2 6-spd...best of both worlds! LOL
