Pioneer System. How are they?

I know we have threads about Pioneer but I would like to hear more opinions of them for the Maxima 2Ks. I've looked and there is a thread where people have totally trashed the Pioneers. Only one person backed up the pioneers. I really wanted the Pioneer 7400 or anything around that model. please share any comment you have of the pioneers GOOD OR BAD. Thanx.

ps - I have a Maxima 2K with No Bose System.

Pioneer is so-so. Nothing to write home about. However, the 7400mp is a very good unit for the price considering it plays MP3's.

The only Pioneer's that i actually like are those in their Premiere lines. Then again i'm all about SQ.

It depends on how much you are about to drop on a stereo system, and comapring it to what you have. Pioneer has(like other brands), anywhere from low garde to high grade systmes. For th $$$, you might want to see if you can budget for an Eclipse, Alpine or even a Kenwood. Trust me even with thstock speakers as a bas system, you will more than enjoy the system. What do I have, obviously Bose, it doesn't really suck. Last car I had hooked it up with Boston Acoustics and a high grade Kenwood system(nearly two grand). Again, it depends entirely on how much you are going to plan to spend on the whole system. Good luck.

Where can I find more info on the Eclipse? I've looked at several Alpines but I feel the screens don't really do anything but just show the title of songs being played. Of course if I added a DVD player that would be different. My price range ... well not sure if i'm ready to throw down at least $1,000 for those screens. But I guess I'd be willing since the Alpines you can always add the DVD player later. If i don't choose the screen I'm leaning towards the Pioneer Premier. I don't really like the Kenwoods for some reason :P.

Well I just dropped over $3000 on a complete Mobile Video/Audio Pioneer system. I can say I am very happy with the features and quality compared to other brands. The screen is awesome in clarity.

How much you want for that one? Looks awesome. E-mail me the price if it's alright with you or if you don't want to post it on the board.

Yeah I saw your thread the other day. Your system rocks! You have any problems with reception? That was one complaint I saw a lot in another forum. I'm having a hard time believing there can be reception problems. Also umm,....i'm kind of broke so I don't think I can spend that kind of money. Plus school sucks up all of my money.
