Tinting.

Well I tinted my windows, and not only am I still covered under warranty, but Nissan is now buying new tint for my rear passenger window since they ****ed it up while trying to fix the wind noise.
So go ahead, and if you have Sterling Mist then I suggest Platinum tint

Thanks, guy, but what percent would be good?
Ok, I'm going to tint this week, but with a black cloth interior it is going to look hella dark, so what percent should I get for my tinting job, and do you think $180 is too much, what did you guys pay for it?

I'm actually waiting for my tax return to see if I can go 5% all the way around... that is if the guy at the tint shop will strip the 20% for free and put the 5% on for cost. Anybody have any experiences with doing something like this. 20% is fairly dark, but I'd rather not be able to see anything on the inside of the car. Are there any alternative methods to making the tint darker without stripping and reapplying?

Most dealerships will not give you a hard time about tint. Go ahead and get it for the Maxima. The dealer will thank you for a nice tint job on the return day.
Don't go too dark on the tint or else the local police will give a citation for it. The standard is 35% in majority of the US states. Yes the tint place will have to remove the old and apply the new tint film. Paying more for a good quality tint will save you headaches later on.
