I got my powertech from a guy on Ebay. Email me and I will give you his info. It sounds great ! Low Rumble. I met Leftcoast and his new Cattman, and my powertech is louder for sure. It is not annoying though. After I hit 65 mph, the sounds goes away. When you crank up the car, people know somethings going on in that Maxx. ... Click on my homepage. I have lots of Pic's ....

Imagine a dual PTR muffler !!!

I have mine for over a month, I like it, growle like a rustang, Imagine a Dual exhaust set-up with the PowerTech !!! I'm seriously thinking to do this set-up sometimes this summer, hopefully it is going to be bye bye spare tire and will have to cut that part but it ain't no big deal, but the look will be awesome.

Cheers

The problem with this setup, is that from my previous research on V8 motors, you will have no take-off power ! It will create NO backpressure. You need to have some kind of backpressure. I know it would look nice, if you cut into the stock bumper......I do recommend this muffler, now I am looking for a catback, that can sell me the entire piping, minus the muffler. If I cant find one, I might just order a Greddy Evo, or a Cattman, saw off the muffler, and sell it..

Why not just get a custom b pipe and get rid of the resonator and keep your muffler. This would give you the same effect as the greddy evo(except for the tip difference)

Have you noticed a powerloss from your start?

Cause I dont know if the backpressure thing applies to us. I been hearing all this about how it is an issue back in the day but not anymore.

I did not notice any loss.

No Dog.. I noticed no loss. I am making plans to race Lafty, who lives right down the street from me with his modded 6 speed. But I am sure if you go for a dual setup, then we enter a bad backperssure problem, though it would look scary ! Oh, and like I said before... 100 % recommend the Powertech, my buddies look at it and think that it added 100 HP !.. Oh by the way BigDog.. Like my Sig ? ... So you guys know .. Dog made it for me ! I love the way this thing sounds, I thought I didnt want loud pipes.. but now I want LOUDER ! I am trying to find someone who can hook up my Navi to some headrest monitors too !

Hi BigDogJonx, I think with the PT mufflers we kinda losse a bit of back pressure in 2nd gear with the autotragic, try this, start in 2nd gear and pull the pedal to the metal, you feel that the power is kinda weaker. I you start in first pull the pedal to the metal and then shift to 2nd around 6K rpm it is not as noticeable.

What do you guys think, it might just be my b*tt dyno that need to be recalibrated.

Cheers

No you don't. What you need to have is good exhaust gas flow velocity. The requirement for backpressure to obtain low-end torque is an old wive's tale.
