For those with KYB AGX's what all was NEEDED from Cattman

on his website they have the KYB's moddified for the 5th gens for 440.00, then there are the dust boots for 50.00 more (with KYB purchase), then there are the front upper strut mounts which state are needed for them to fit on the 5th gen for an extra 75.00 for the pair. Which is a grand total of 565.00 plus shipping which is aprox. 32.00 which is about 597.00. Don't get me wrong I hear the setup is great and it sure beats the price on coilovers, and not as harsh, but I just wanna see if there is any money that can be saved, since I have school to pay for

So as you have guessed my question is did those that have the KYB setup buy it all or can we do without some of it? Thanks

The upper strut mounts on the 5th gen can be self modified by shaving a certain area off to get clearance for the kyb's. You'll have to talk to steve over at frankencar or emax for more enough. Look around, there was another thread on this before.

You don't need to buy the dust boots.

yeah don't buy the 4th gen parts. The boots on the 5 gen will work back good. Some people took off one ring on the bumpstops and modify the strut mounts
