Perforated Leather

For anyone who knows ....

Did the AE edition have perforated leather inserts (butt and lower back) or everything but the bolsters as perforated leather ?

I'm getting leather and can't decide which way to go.

Thanks

Both my seat backs and butts (center only) are perforated. In my opinion looks much better than factory leather for normal SE. Good luck!

It looks like dirt and other **** would get into those little perforations. Do you run into that problem a lot?

I keep my car cleaner than the kitchen table !! Other than careful application of leather conditioner, wipe the sides 1st as they are solid and wets applicator rag, then finish in the middle.

I agree. I used to have a car with those kinds of seats and after 3 years they looked awful.

Wow 2001SilverSeMax, 125mph without your seatbelt on? Sounds kinda dangerous!

Couple of things...

The seats have perforated inserts in the back and lower portions...the door inserts are also perforated.

As far as dirt, I would say no more so than in a 'standard' leather interior...no dirt in the little holes but it does accumulate in the seams...like all leather interiors...

The big thing is I found them (when I was testing out SE's last year) to be more comfortable and forgiving than the standard leather package...guess the little holes help ventilate air out so the conform to your body faster...just my opinion...

What's a seatbelt gonna do if you're in an accident @ 125? Probably not too much. But on a positive note, I only do these runs on completely empty country roads very late at night. (BTW, please no flames)
