Summer is approaching. The first summer I'll have my Maxima. I have H&R's in the closet, but I need shocks. I want to put my suspension in as soon as finals are over and before the internship starts. I want KYB AGX, but don't know when they are coming out. Cattman's are just too expensive. Should I settle for Tokicos? Or use stock shocks and wait till the real AGX comes out. I have 24k miles already so I doubt the stockers will last. How about the KYB GR2's? Help me please!

 

i say you get em both done at the same time. to intall both springs and shocks..places charge almost the same as to just charging for springs..so its like youre getting shocks installed for free almost. unless youre going to install both shocks and springs by yourself..

 

installed KYB/AGX in the rear & GR2 in the front + Ground Controlz the ride is awesome WITHOUT any modification.. i blew my stocks within 2 days of GC install..

 

Do you have any squeeks or rattles from the GC's especially when you go over bumps?

Why didn't you just use GR2's all the way around?

get a 240sx and drift off a mountain... no shocks or springs needed

 

 

 

coilovers you will always get a rattle. if you're super picky it will bother you. if you're not it's not bad, and you won't hear it if you're listening to music. (although i don't know if the people sitting in the rear can hear it more loudly )

Anyone know if the KYB for 5th gen come out yet?

StrongIsleMax if the KYB 5th gen come out soon i'd say wait for them. Tokicos can work in the meantime, you probably want to avoid using ur stock shocks with the GCs.
