Steering Rattle?

I get this rattle of the steering wheel when i hit bumps at low speed, like an up an down motion. My alignment and balance is perfect and on smooth roads everything is perfect also. There is no freeplay on center in the steering either. What could it be? Is it normal?

Re: bushings..

Yeah I get the same thing on my 2002 SE and used to do the same on 2000 SE that I had.
It feels like something loose there, but I think it is ok.
Doesn't feel good, I can tell you that.

I had it too. Got the linkages (about 40$ each) done under warranty.

How about a "clunk" or "pop" when you rotate the steering wheel?

Seems to happen more at slow speeds or when the car is not warmed up.

Any ideas of what to tell the dealer to fix? Otherwise, it will take 3-4 trips to get it finally fixed.
