Considering the power being made from his motor, I wouldn't doubt Kev took the actual pic, however at 160mph to get the camera that well placed to take the pic, and take your eyes off the road...well I'll stop here.

BTW 160mph is around 6000rpm give or take a few hundred. Mine indicated a shade past 6000, but I had 235/45R17 tires on factory rims...obviously smaller than stock. Never verified since loss of license, but I got 6 months to tune my car. The last 10K miles were put on rather quickly, say 5 weeks ? Makes you wonder ?

I haven't been behind the wheel of an automatic Maxima in about 3 weeks. I don't remember what my dash looks like. All day I look at 5spd dash and a 6spd dash, no Automagics.

I'm not sure how it works in Max's (as I never really pay any attention), but I know in my G-pa's Caddy, whenever he starts the car all of the gauges go all the way over to the right (like Kev's show) and then go back down to their true readings.

speaking of CF hoods... i just got a possible hookup here in SoCal for hoods. he owns www.accordcompany.com and his shop does CF everything, so it seems... i just met him today out in San Gabriel for Philips HIDs (not for me... no $$). heheh... should i talk to him about a little GB for CF hoods?

 

For a reference:

I have the stock 15" rims on now with 215/60/15 Bridgestone RE950 tires and weight is about 44lbs. Geez...talk about heavy. The only downside to the Bridgestones is the weight. Other than that, I really like the tires.

I wish I could afford Volk rims.

I could've spent my $2000+ on rims, but bah attorney's fees.
However we have gone off topic, which is; is the photo real in his sig w/ his Speedo indicating 160mph @ 6500rpm.
My 3rd gear @ 6500 indicates 130, OD on 4300-4500rpm @ 130. Ok since my SFC-HyperR has been having major problems, wasn't hooked up, I tested a theory, and punched it all the way w/ (old)RSM and 259.3kph @ 5465rpm. This is approximately 160mph and no where near 6500. I still had 1 mile to go. Test conducted: 75mph(121kph) roll
Due to that test, I have to say its probably from the dyno run conducted, or PS.

Kev, you know I won't be needing the SFC-HyperR soon, BC RS E-System is here.

CF hood... maybe. Grill... haven't seen one I really like yet.


The CF wing looks nice on Chebosto's car, but I wouldn't want to put it on my car. I don't know... my opinion might change over time.

Kev, I told you a while ago, and now I need to figure out WTF to do. LoL. BC ECU, what a trip. Almost done again w/ STS how-to, and GC How- To (rear GC set up on AGX) then BC ECU, then GD I hope.

This thread got me thinking last night so 2:30am went out, and tested the theory out. 8000Ks lighting the way, and tested it out. I'm gonna try again tonite and get some pics.

Hey keving I went ahead and got the Bridgestones(cheapest) and mine weigh 25 lbs a piece. They are 2 lbs heavier than my toyos were. The tires are 9 lbs heavier than the rims. My rims and tire combo was at 39lbs, but is now at 41.

Next thing to get is a paint job and paint your car black. The rims are ok, I mean if you like that sort of thing. Personally I hate gunmetal rims, they are oooogly.
