Carbon Fiber

Was thinking about practicing molding carbon fiber so I can make custom **** for people (i'm bored...) What thread carbon fiber cloth would I use (to make the texture similar to a fiberimages hood)

Btw, if you just want it for the cosmetic looks i suggest you try searching for "Carbon Fiber Vinyl". Looks just like it but you can apply it on any surface easily.

Now if you can make Carbon Fiber taillights that would be cool

Actually I want it for looks and support (weight reduction). I'm pretty much just experimenting at the moment... For now since I don't have alot of equipment I will be using carbon fiber cloth on fiberglass.

I found the style btw, its called Twill thread.

What part of the taillights would be carbon fiber... (pics?)

Check this link out. Since i have a 2k2, the CF would look sweet where the chrome portions are i would think.

Awesome!

Try getting hold of the zigzag-type weave. I've checked out the lights that go on IS300's and that seems to be the design on theirs.
