Hey .. Has anyone Swapped out the Infiniti Guages from the I35 or whatever to the 5th gen Max? I was thinking about it.. any thoughts on it? pics etc? thanks

I don't think you can... Infiniti guages are backlit... actually they totally black out when you turn the car off, so you can't see anything at all... it would be hard to have something like that installed on a Max...

 

I think he meant the whole assembly and not the guage faces. Just have to check the wiring harness behind the whole guage assembly to see if they fit, and if they do, just need to try it to see if things light up... who's got money? I'll try it, need sponsors for it. hehe

 

I always wanted to ask this question but was too scared The electoluminiscent gauges on the I35 are far above and beyond that of the Max. But this seems like a rather expensive mod and the probailty of it working is'nt 100%

 

i don't think you can just plug-and-play these two gauges...but it's worth a try i guess...personally i think the gauges on 02 Maxima SE much better...they look sporiter than the I30 gauges...unless you're going for that Lexus-ish luxury look.

 

Your Max looks real tight with the new rims, and the the drop is just perfect, I wish it came lowered like that from the factory. Is the ride much harsher with the drop and 18" wheels ?

 

the ride is little bit harshier than with my 17s..but it handles much much better than my 17s too!! i just love how my car is taking corners!

 

I think that would make it look a little more luxurious. I know if it was possible, I would get one of these. I wonder if there is anyone that can answer this.
