Hello,

I have a 02' SE and when I start the car in the morning I hear a weird grinding sound in the tranny, not sure if its the tranny or the timing chain, but it just sounds like gears grinding. If anyone has experienced this please let me know. Also, when you take off quick it seems as if there is a lag in the transmission or it hits into gear?

sounds like tranny slippage...have u contacted ur dealer? u r still under warranty.

btw, u have auto max?

 

Yes, I am still under warranty, the car has about 6,000 miles on it. I brought it to them and they couldn't find anything. Yes, it is automatic. Thanks

 

u gotta take them to a test drive...usually happens when ur car is still cold. I am not sure about 2k2....for 2k and 2k1 there are problems with the tranny module. check out the TSB sticky on the top of the first page...
