I used 1/8" black aluminum rivets just inside lower door edge, 3M acrylic foam tape with adhesive promoter and 5/32" stainless rivets on fender edges to hold on side spoilers.

the reason I ask is that the body shop that installed it (they are a supposedly a good import tuner shop) used screws (4 of them on each side piece) Now i thought that it was just doulble sided tape and no screwing except at the fenders...anyone have some insight on this?

Yes, but if you use sealing rivets or dab a little RTV silicone in the rivet hole, water infiltration shouldn't be an issue. By the time any rust appears, I'll be on to my next car. The clearance is very tight between the bottom of the door and top of rocker panels, that's why I used rivet to hold it down tight.

depends on where u live....I wouldnt use double side tape if i live in seattle....I know it's going to come off on a raining day. I have seen body kits sitting on the side of our Bay Area freeways.
