I took the factory Y-pipe back on, and guess what?

the Cattman pipe's flex section is all shriveled up inside!!!!!

I cannot believe this!! that pipe cost me $400!!

I have more pull in 3rd gear now the factory y-pipe is back on.

going to the track in a few hours to see if it makes a difference.

DAm can you get a refund or something? Will they fix it?
Why does it shrivel up? what causes that damage?

Brian Catts says he will take care of everything for the repair of the pipes under the warranty. ArcticMax, let us know how dealing with Cattman is. I was going to buy a cattman y-pipe, until I started reading about flex failure. Now I'm thinking Stillen (hisssss). They reserve the right to personally inspect the pipe, so you might have to send it in. There was a big thread about all this in the general section.

 

I've got the Cattman Cali-spec on order, they say it'll be a few weeks before they get more in. I'm having second thoughts. I really want a Y-Pipe, though. Are all of the Y-Pipes having problems or is this a relatively rare problem?

Along those lines, what's the deal with Warpspeed and the 5th Gen pipe. I sent Dallas an email over a month ago and he said that he'd be selling the 5th gen pipe the following Monday. Sent him two emails since then with no response...just sent one yesterday. I was going to compare the Warpspeed to the Cattman (primarily for fitment and bees-in-a-can comparison). I'm ready to order and these guys just don't get back to me...sort of a business killer isn't it, when you ignore your customers?
