I was in a bank drive through today and I was driving out of the drive-thru lane when there was a big pot hole on the right hand side of the lane - it jerked my car to the right and I banged my right front rim against the curb. It left a HUGE gouge in the rim that is noticeable from 10 miles away (slight..but not much exaggeration). I am so depressed.

Anyone have any idea how much a new 17" stock SE rim for a 2k is? I can't stand to have her look scratched up like that.

Ask the bank to pay for it.

or try to get the rim fixed. Probably cheaper than buying a new one.

Jeff,

Thanks, I'd love to do that, but quite frankly, I really do think it's my fault. First of all, the car in front of me didn't hit the curb and secondly, I pulled out kinda fast. The car to my left was finished at the same time I was so I gunned it to beat it out of the drive-thru lane - I'm sure if I had proceeded slowly, I would be ok. Just a case of me being a complete dumb-a$$ and having to pay (literally) for it!
