I just got my new 02 se 6 spd. First MT car. I am interested in changing the tail lights for 01 se ones, since I got a black 02 I think it would look better. Does anyone know where I can get these tailights from and how much? I need to know how to change my user name on this site from 01blkmaximase. Anyone know how to do this?

I am 99% sure you can find someone on the .org with a 2K-2K1 that would be willing to trade taillights with you.
And if I can remember correctly your username is with you forever, it can't be changed.

 

Same car as me Padsy. I got Navigation and HLSD too. Did you get these? I have questions about the HLSD if you got it.

i dont think anyone has been able to change the nickname on their account. you can just create a new account though.

 

You have to have a moderator change the user name for you.

 

i just bought some 2k1 SE tails from a fellow member. if you want to buy them new go to http://www.courtesyparts.com and give them a call. tell them you are a maxima.org member and the lights should cost you $98 a piece. the total comes out to $212 with shipping included. i got mine use for $120 shipped. so ask around the org first if you want to save $.

i got my name changed from Newman96SE to just Newman but I had to ask 4 times over the course of 3 months before it finally happened. you need to PM Jambo and ask him. he probably wont respond as he is pretty busy but if you're persistant then he may take the time to do it. dont bug him too much though. moderators cannot do the name change for you. Jamie (Jambo) is the only one who can do it.

 

I think what would look the best is if you could take the yellow out of the taillight and replace it with clear....then just have yellow bulbs. That's the only thing I don't like about the 02 tail lenses.

I agree. That's the only thing I don't like about the back of my Sterling Mist SE. Since I have the clear side marker lenses, the yellow in the bottom of the tail-lights really stand out. If it was clear (like 2K-2K1), it would look a lot better.

 

If it wasn't for that orange plastic blinker i'd switch with you.
My tinted ones would look a lot better on your max.

Yeah, I have a super black 02...and I've been thinking about throwing the idea of trading my tail lamps for the black ones on the 00/01. I just can't bring myself to do it (who's to say anyone would trade anyhow). Perhaps one of the lighting co's will make a lens with all red...but then do I want to spend $200 to essentially replace a segment that takes up 3 inches?
