It should be noted that the 2000/2001 Maxima 5spd dyno around 190 or so fwhp. Kev's is an automatic (I believe) so I assume he was around lets just say 170 stock. Thats almost a 120 hp increase! I assume he has some other stuff like say maybe an intake and Y-pipe, but still for those three things thats pretty amazing. Stillen quotes a rough figure of around 90hp (at the wheels I assume) from a s/c on a 5spd in the 5th gen. Do you have a 2K2? If you do, your only choices right now are an intake (various types), underdrive pulleys, ignition upgrade, exhaust system of some type, and nitrous. WSP and Stillen are set to come out with a header/Y-pipe combo that is rumored to give around 15-20 whp. Trust me, I'll be the first to buy when it is released!

get the supercharger, it'll make a difference. i'm sure your rims weight a lot too. so changing them will help. but i like the look of them on your car.

Dude your kit looks awsome..I plan to get the Ninja kit in the end of june. couple of questions since you already have it..(sorry I know a little off topic) 1. I know bodykits.com sells it for just under 700 is that where you got it or is there some place cheaper? 2. Any tips for installation or anything I should know since you already have it.. thanks

Supercharger is the way to go...best bang for the buck mod...order it from avalon racing...The kit comes stock with 6 psi and you gain about 70-75 hp and 50 ft lb of tq right out of the box.

Go with the SC...I have it on my AE 5spd and my last dyno without the aquamist cooler and smaller pulley I put down 298.2fwhp and 246.8lbs of torque. Thursday I install my Nitrous Express kit. By the way your car looks very nice, check out my page I have pics of the SC installed with chrome pipes...

For you guys with the supercharger

How reliable has your Maxima been after you installed the Stillen SC?
