Anyone have any comment on these tires!

Well i'm in the market for some new tires. I would like to get 235/45 tires but not sure which brand. I originally wanted Nittos but since they only have a 235/40 it might open up the wheel gap even more on my non-dropped suspension. Anyone have any comment on Toyo Proxes FZ4's. Looking into these.

What kind of rims? I wouldn't just buy tires, you should do the calculation so that your offset is correct!

good tire. i got em and i beat on them. decent tread wear. as with any high performance tire be sure to keep you car balanced and aligned. this will help you get the most miles out of you tires and will help to keep away road noise. in most cases tires that have worn unevenly will make noise usually some kind of droning, you will know it if it happens.

I have them - excellent feel, very good traction wet or dry, good wear but they are the noisiest tires I have ever had.

Get 245/45/17's, you have an 8" rim, fill that biatch out. If you get 40 series tires you will have even more of that unsightly wheel gap. Are you looking for an all season tire? if so your choices just got smaller. What kind of money are you interested in spending? I have the Potenza RE950's and love them, the only drawback is their speed rating, but I wanted an all season.

Hmm I must have a crappy set of tires then. I have these too (Toyos), and althought the dry weather traction is great (very little chirpage on high powered cornering), the car feels twitchy and unrefined in the rain and dont even get me started on the snow.

Plus the idiots at Tire Discounters cant get them balanced correctly. It seems like when they balance them within roughly 1K miles they are all vibrating and such again. Grrrr..... Back to Michelin on my next set.

yes they are M+S rated but that doesnt equate to excellent snow traction in the winter. the M+S just neans that the rubber compound is less likely to freeze up/lose traction in colder climates, as apposed to a summer only tire. no low profile high performance tire is gonna give you half the traction of an actual snow tire.

as faras your service issues are concearned get the tires balanced somewhere else.
