turbo

I don't know much about engine saps with a 300z into a max. If you don't want to go SC and you want to go turbo there are many things to consider. You will need new exhaust manifolds (not sure if the 300z would fit but prolly), turbos, lots of custom piping, oil lines, upgraded fuel system, upgraded ignition system, possibly an intercooler (which is more custom piping), tranny work, instrumentation, some type of fuel controler, boost controler, etc.

well first off a 300zx is rearwheel drive, so take that out of the picture.. second, twin turbos would just be a waist of money when a single turbo would make just as much power.
your best bet would be to do a custom turbo or swap with a vq30det

Maybe so. But with twins the "lag" would be almost non-exsistant as the turbos would be smaller and "spin" up faster. Secondly (I am no expert and correct me if I'm wrong) they would produce less heat or at the very least spread the heat out a bit. I would be a custom job for sure with ALOT of teething pains no doubt, but with a properly "tuned" setup you could see gains of 150whp. Ask Mr. Lingenfelter (spelling?) he's the best at twin setups!
I dream of having a sedan with "twins" someday in the future!

300zx engine is out of the picture...As for twin turbos, yeah dude is right there are advantages...yet, with this engine you are looking at what would turn into about 5-7 g's of needed new engine parts such as pistons, cams, rings, rods,etc...you also then would have to develop the hole turbo setup, turbos, wastegate, piping, electronics, in the end you look to lose alot of time prob 6-9 months about 12 grand and only gain what could be done just as easy with the stillen s/c with custom intercooler and more boost. For much less. Get the point?

I was working on that about 2 months ago. Unfortunatly, even with sponsorship, The estimated low was about $14,000 I had a helicopter company about to make my manifold and exhaust piping but it was too costly. You would have to try to make the ECU from a 300zx fit for fuel and you would have to find a place to fit the turbos. It can be done, but it is not worth it. I could build a 93 civic hatchback with an H22A (J spec) and a revhard turbo running 11-12's with 14g's. forget it man. Not worth the money. But if you want to do it anyway, PM me and I can get you the shop that was going to do mine. They are hired by GM to build their muscle concept show cars for SEMA.

OMG....you pple~!!! getting turboes would cool ur engine down??? ok...PTV...increase Pressure, Temperature will INCREASE~! our engines will get very hot~!! esp. cuz our engines are all aluminum! THE VQ35 wuz not ment to be turboed or s/c....it will handle some boost but...it will heat up like a lunatic!!! aluminum blocks are meant for N/A~! TURBO engines are usually cast iron...so they dont distort and heat up as much....wut kind of transmission do you think of putting in??? u want to keep it front wheel drive??? i think our axle would crack if we put too mcuh power under the hood...i mean....my friend has a el camino w/ a 502 and the drivetrain just bent while we were doing burnout....(im not in the max~!)...well if your thinking about make the max a rwd car...u better have alot of money b/c there is a ****load to do....esp w/ the fram of the car~!! ok...um...ill stop.....this is getting long....it just ****es me off when pple dont know wut they're talkin about~!!!!
