Toyo T1-S or FZ4?

I have a credit with Toyo to get half off any tires I want. I have 19" ADR X Factors and I need the smoothest possible ride. I had the FZ4 and was not overly impressed, but they were cracked and somewhat worn when I got them. I am not too concerned with racing, but the T1-S has a rim protector on it- does it do anything? The T1-S is $285 and the FZ4 is $220.

What tire should I go with in a 235 35 R19? Here are my priorities:

1. Ride comfort
2. Longevity
3. Protection of rim

I think I just answered my own question with the FZ4 but I wanted some feedback from you guys.......

T1S is a higher performance tire compared to the FZ4 and will probably have a harsher, more performance oriented ride.

Very true .. and it doesn't last for long .. but boy does it stick like glue on the ground!!! These are phenomenal tires even in the rain!
