Need help picking a mod for my brothers B-Day?

Never posted here before, but my brother does and is starting to get his modding under way.

He has a 2000 Maxima SE in the sand (tan) color.
He already has:
18" Moda R6
H&R sport springs
Stillen Intake
AE Shift **** & door sills
And PIAA bulbs all up front.

I know these things because I'm the one that always ends up installing them!

Anyway, I was thinking something like a Stillen short shift kit, or 02 tail lights? Just thought you guys would know better than I would on what he would like, and maybe had some advice as to which mod might be better than another. (Trying to keep it under like 400 bucks too)

His B-day is this week so I really need to come up with something quick.

Thanks for the help in advance!
Andrew

I was thinking that but...

He wanted one with dual tips and the one's I've seen always have just one big round tip. (Stillen) And I'm pretty sure that's more than 400 bucks.

Go to a reputable muffler shop and have them fabricate a rear section around a Magnaflow SS muffler with dual tips. The entire thing installed should run you UNDER $200! It will look and sound great. And you can laugh all the way to the bank as you pass by those guys with HKS and Stillen rear sections.

Check out Magnaflow muffers here:

And if you're ever looking to adopt another brother . . .

alright...

I've since been researching Short shift options as his stock shifter really does suck IMO. WAY to tall and long of throws. Looking into the SMC now. I have no idea what this frankencar pipe is, and haven't found any info on it yet?

The exhaust sounds like a good idea, but are these magnaflow mufflers that good? It seems like a universal muffler, and those always discouraged me for some reason.

Thanks for all the help so far guys, your VERY helpful to a visitor such as myself.

Magnaflow mufflers are as well-made as ANY muffler on the market, period. And a universal muffler is just fine as long as it's installed by a REPUTABLE muffler shop. Check the dealer locator at the Magnaflow web site for a dealer near you.

$400?.....I wish you were my brother. My sister got me a $6 Office Space VHS movie last year for Christmas.

I am having an entire 2 1/2 inch Catback system, Magnaflow muffler, and twin tip (which I chose from a HUGE selection) being installed on Tuesday for a total of $235. Not sure where you are located, but Mighty Muf'ler in Phoenix is the place.......

I didn't see if your bro had a Y pipe......Those are just under $400.

So your not planning on surprising him since he's a member of these forums & might've seen this thread already? Then why don't you just ask him what he wants for his Max as his B-Day gift from yah!

By the way, this is one of the best exterior mods. Consider it. TINTS!
