Shift tronic allows someone with an auto to control their rpm's in each gear. Usually it would give you an extra gear beside just being able to let your car shift from 1-2-D, you could shift 1-2-3-4-5. But I think they cost like a $1000 or more. Still with that you may not be as fast as a manual, but at least you would be faster than a stock auto.

To my understanding Level10 PTS' are faster then a manual... You don't have the human delay and error, thus no missing shifts (and no excuses!). Second, with PTS + Shift Kit you can set which RPM for it to shift at (optimal setting for whatever you want) thus it basically has the same function as a manual in terms of power use...
One disadvantage of L10 PTS over a manual is that when turning it can downshift/upshift on you and screw you up (autocross)... Shift Kits fix this...
Only disadvantage is that idiots will call you a ***** when you tell them your car is an auto. (If they say that just laugh at say "well its an auto and it still kicks the **** out of your car").
And that you have to deal with L10's rep.
