summer tires?
i'm looking to replace the turanzas on my gle as soon as possible, but i see that if i can get summer tires, it would open up the possibilities somewhat. how bad is it really to drive summer tires in occassional snow? is it one of those things where if you use common sense, you're ok, or is it just basically suicide. my first car, so i'm not very familiar with stuff like this. thanx.

Don't do it!
I've never driven in snow with summer tires, but I highly recommend not trying.
Summer tread patterns and depths aren't designed for snow.
Summer tire materials aren't made for cold weather (<40 deg F).
I'm putting all-season or winter tires back on next winter.
