from a Mustang board, talkin shiet

"I don't know what these people think they're driving....yah...yah...yah....I've head it...250bhp and all. Everytime I'm at a set of light...these guys are wanting "to go", then I have to hand their asses to them.
"Horsepower sells car....but it's torque that win races"

Stick with good old Detroit Iron..."

Anyone have a video of a 2K2 running a 14.3 or faster? I wanna shut this guy up.

Nice car in your sig! Do you own it? Just curious why you have that in your sig and not a Maxima or i30/35 being that this is a maxima board?

Toss the link on the forum and let the Org crew stank out the joint...

I've seen it done with great effect on other boards spewing anti-Max propaganda.

they seem bored. We're a sedan it's impressive that we can totally hang. Get Y2KevSE over there and challenge all of them

when i first test drove a 2K Maxima the salesman told me to pull onto the freeway and punch it. So I got onto the freeway the same moment a 2K Mustang pulled next to me on the left lane. We both punched it and I was ahead about half a car length at around 105mph. He wouldn't go faster than that and the car salesman was terrified so I pulled out on the next exit. I was driving an AUTO too. (but yeah it's not like we started from stop so i don't know what their torque is like, although i think ours is pretty impressive)

They got monster torque. What would be the outcome of a 2K and also a 2K2 vs a GT from a roll of 60-100?

Ive driveen both cars.. I think if the Stang driver is halfway decent on the shifting, both stock, the Stang will take it, though not by much. I drove Leftcoasts car, with his current MODS, and I would love to race a GT, Im pretty sure it is possible I could beat one with his car ! That thing PULLS HARD !

The stang has most of it's power pretty low. The Max has it's peak HP at 5,800 RPM's (Of course we also know this to be the spot where the car just dies...if you don't have an intake)

The stang produces most of it's punch at like 2500 or 3500...something like that. I think both cars a damn quick, but I'd have to think that the max might have a slight edge at higher speeds.

At least they got thier 1/4 mile times correct on the maxima. A few of em even actually admit that the 2k2 6spd will run even or even beat a 99+ mustang. Of course there is a few who act like there is no way in hell a max could run with the mustang.

I like the guy who said "it must feel horrible to lose to a sedan."

Hillarious!

Like I said before, I spent 11 years working on my Stang. Im an expert on them, and they are easy and inexpensive to modd... if you guys ever need any ammo for Stang VS Maxx wars, just email me... Ive been on both sides. I have 4 doors, luxury, Comfort, room for 4, maybe 5 COMFORTABLY, and can run next to your STANG ! , with 4 people.. !

i agree. I love the size of the Max, the 4 doors, and it's comfort and it packs a punch. i use to have a small coupe BMW and what a pain trying to get people out of the car. (that doesn't mean i dislike BMWs! )

I think its funny how the Stangs have a 1.1L advantage over the Max, yet stock vs. stock it's going to come down to driver's skill in 1/4 mile. These guys would really be in trouble if Honda or Nissan ever comes out with a V8 powered sport sedan/coupe.

When it comes to V8's Ford and GM have motors that wwould make you spin out of control. They have naturally aspirated Camaro's and Mustangs that run 10's...No boost, no SC... When it comes to V8's..the American cars are KINGS. I love my Maxx.. and the 6 in it is awesome ...

Your Datsun is pretty cool. My buddy had a 74 510 Wagon and that thing was sweet. It was also a POS, but in High School who cares. It got you from Point A to B and you didn't care if it got beat up at all. There was rust everywhere and you could lift up the floor mats and see ground moving under you. What a car.

I think it is pretty impressive for a 6 speed Maxima to hang with the Mustang GT. They do run 14.2's all day long or atleast that is what I have seen at the track. I can only hang with the 98 GT 5speed but that is impressive enough for my car.

No not yet. I just got them 1 week ago. I had to wait 4 weeks for them to be made because they are all on back order for the silver ones. I will be taking pics very soon and will post them when I get them.

Hey, that's a NICE 1/4-time in your sig. Any 1/4-times before the mods? Any dynos?

I didn't realize those could be that fast with an autoMAGIC and some mods.

Got NOS?

I had a WS6 Trans Am, with the LT1 motor, 6 speed. I know what your Camaro can do, but the 2K3 Cobra might just be the New Beast on the Block !

Nice 1/4 time. I didn't know an Accord V6 could hit high 14s with i/e/h. Last time I went the track, I ran against an Accord V6 with intake/exhaust and he could only hit high 15s. Any other mods you're not telling us?

My N/A stang ran 13.5's with only about $1000 in mods and it is an automatic. How much did it cost you in upgrades to run 14.2's?

Bottom line, a mustang can be made to be faster than a maxima for much less money, and basically the sky is the limit with modifications for them.

Damn!!! J30A1. That is a REALLY good 1/4 time for your Accord. I am very impressed. The best my 2k auto Max was able to get is a 15.4@90mph. Hopefully once I get performance mods Ill be able to break into the 14s.
