Asking This For A Friend, Regarding Brakes

My friends mom has a 5th gen SE. The other day, when he was coming to my house, he said he was going about 40 and he went over the dip Needless to say, he messed up his front and rear bumpers on the underside pretty good. Anyways, whenever he pushes the brakes, they start groaning and squealing. The car kinda shudders too he sai. Rotors maybe? Never happened until the day when the dip took him on.

hey paul...

nice rims

The groaning could be coming from the strut and/or mounts if he really hit something *that* hard. Of course, he might have also warped the rotors by slamming the brakes when the hit occured. They warp that easily on a 5th gen..

he should check the alignment and have them inspect the mounts and bushings. if the brakes warped, there is a bulletin that extends the normal 12K coverage of rotors to 36K/3yrs.
