so i get to an intersectoin right before my block and its a no turn on red, but some punk in a beat up grand am come behind me and starts honking telling me to turn. I stick my hand out the sunroof and point to the sign. at which point he stops honking and starts creeping up DANGEROUSLY to my tail. light turns green and i use all my 255hp to get away from this idiot. i quickly gain about 15 car lengths on him. i go into the left turn lane to turn into my block when he comes zooming on the side of me, and i hear a huge THUNK! the bastard threw something at my car. FUMING i went into my garage and checked the baby over. phew, no damage, but im ****ed at all the freakin jealous and ignorant punks out there in white grand ams. imma kill them ALL!

 

Your story brings back bad memories for me. I've had several similar situations, some I've reported here. The last time someone threw something at my car, I had a conniption! I've lived in the same town for so long that I've eventually memorized the traffic light patterns. I was stopped at a certain red light and I know that in order to make the next light I have to accelerate pretty fast between lights. When the light changed I got up to speed quickly and while doing so, this pedestrian a ways up (at least 100' ahead) decides to jay walk and cross in front. He had plenty of time and lots of room to do so (I even eased off the gas in mid stride to show respect for his life). Anyway, he heard the roar of my VQ coming off the line as he was crossing (this was before I let off the gas a bit) and thought I was trying to run him over or something (or he was just jealous - maybe he drives a V6 mustang or something? ). After he crossed, as I was driving by, he picked up something off the ground and whipped around and threw it at my car (quick like I wouldn't notice). Well I saw him do it and DID NOTICE and heard a soft clunk towards the rear of my car! I slammed on the brakes, made a U-turn in the middle of road and turned back to catch the guy. He ran between some houses and hid like a little girl (gone). I was furious! What makes people believe they can just throw $*** at your car and not take any resposibility for it? What is this country coming to! The really sad thing was... it was a grown man, probably 25 or so, not some stupid little kid. No wonder people carry guns in their cars !

The good news... no damage noticed on my car. Must have hit my tire or bounced under my car (?).

 

ive also had something thrown at my car... but the guys were in a moving vehicle. we were going side by side. there was no damage but i was ****sssssssssssssssssssssst!!

i think the air passing over the car softens the blow of whatever hits the car from the side.

thank god.

Same thing happened to me I raced this Ford F150 truck and didn't brake a sweat beating his ***. So I was ahead 5-6 car lengths and I decided to slow down, because my turn is coming up. So I saw the pick-up truck coming up fast, as soon I turned to the street this focker threw pennies at my windshield!! Luckily my windshield didn't chip or crack..

 

I was riding with my friend in his car, and we were stopped at a light before entering freeway. All of sudden this guy walk over and start wiping my friend's windshield. We told him to stop, because we are not going to give him any money. He ignored and finish it, than light turns green, as he walked around the car to the driver side to get some money. My friend just started accelerating, that guy Fxxxing hit my friend's car really hard, I got so ****ed off, and tell him to stop, but my friend just say there is $hit loads of car behind us, so he didn't stop!
that Fxxxing ****ed me off so bad, stupid people they don't go Fxxing looking a job, instead just stand there and expecting people to give them money

 

So, go buy an extra coil from a stereo shop and wire it to the front fender on your car.
The next time they lean over to wash your windshield, hit the discharge botton!!!

About 10 years ago, I was a passenger in a car droved by a colleague. My colleague was driven a bit aggressively (maybe too much). He was driving fast in what was normal traffic. At one point a guy in a minivan decided to follow us and decided to play a chase game with us... (everyone knows the pattern)

It quickly became a bit dangerous and I told my colleague to cool down. He said OK then he eased on the pedal... Then the hell broke loose.... BAM!! the guy in the minivan hit us in the back.... quickly went on my side... rolled down his window (we were still going about 40) and pulled up a gun... I almost ?*$& ed in my pants... He smiled and pointed the gun directly at me... My colleague jumped hard on the brakes and the minivan was know in front of us... The guy also brakes hard and we almost hit him... We then made what I recall to be the fastest right hand turn in my life... We saw him tried to do the same but he had already passed the intersection... My colleague the accelerated very fast to escape ... We then went to police station and gave the best description of the guy and his minivan... Unfortunately (or fortunately) the never found him...

What I learned from this is that road rage can kill you…

 

About 5 yrs ago, I was driving my 4th Generation maxima by Ocean Ave(Brooklyn, ny) around 7:00pm at night and all of a sudden I heard something bounce off my roof and shatter. At first I thought it was my side window and then I realize it was prolly a glass bottle. Of course I didnt stop and see what it is, it might be some f*up kid want be to get me off the car and and mug me or something. When I got home I check the roof and there is a dent of edge of the roof. Thats pretty mess up!! Freaking kids throws stuff off the roof now!!!

About 6 years ago I was travelling down a side road and out of nowhere I hear a thwack behind me. After pulling over I get out and find the remains of an egg on the rear driverside door. I don't know what they did to this egg but it left a halo of chipped paint around the impact point. Nobody was on the street. The only thing I could determine was it most have come from the roof of a small 3 story appartment building. Middle of summer, absolutely no reason or warning, somebody does this. Why? Luckily ??? I was in my older Civic at the time. It's now my winter car and the halo is still there.

I've also had a shopping cart rammed into the side of the same car in my condos parking lot. It should be noted the nearest store that used shopping carts was a 25 minute walk away. Who woulda thought I'd have to worry?
