Are keys covered in the warrantee
My car is still under warranty and 2 of my 3 keys broke. The computer chip is fine in the key, but the plastic or rubber loop broke on both my keys. Is this a warranty issue? The dealership told me since wasn't faulty, it isn't a warranty issue. Is this true? If he is right, how can I fix the key?
p.s. I don't have a lot on my keychain

go on ebay..buy replacement keys then go A DIFFERENT dealership and tell them that the key won't work and they need to be reprogrammed!!!
you won't have to pay retail for the key....and get it programmed for free!!!
my valet key has "unprogrammed itself" when i had it sitting on top of a big a$$ magnet at work (we use it to turn the security strips on library books on and off)
of course when i stuck the valet key in the ignition...it didn't work
then the car wouldnt start
and i sat there and "talked dirty to her" for a good three minutes before I remembered that I had another key, then I sweet talked her---she was "nice" enough to crank up--drove straight to the dealer and had the key reprogrammed!!!
I have really wierd car stories!
