Notice, altima was an AUTO, if the CL-S was gaining ground on each shift it could be because:

1. 20 more hp
2. Better gearing, 5 speed auto triptronic or..
3. It was a MANUAL

Either way, it was not a maxima. And your point is...??

I love how you always make these abstractions in logic like A raced B, B faster than C, therefore if B races D who raced A and lost, then B will win!

Besides, maybe he lost to a CL-S, maybe a Maxima can beat an altima, maybe a CL-S can beat a maxima, maybe the moon is made of cheese, maybe NO ONE CARES??

You obviously don't know me. If you see when I joined Altimas.net was 2 yrs ago. We have a 2001 Altima in our family as well. So go away.

 

My point is you guys are the ones making a big deal out of it. Oh no, the 2k2 auto maxima will creme the CL-S, TL-S, oh no way it will beat a Maxima, etc etc. That is why I am showing you all for a real race. The damn Altima as of right now is FASTER than a 2k2 Maxima. No one has beat the Altima times yet, so go figure.

Actually I know alot of people who gave up on this forum for the reasons of people like you and others. And guess what, alot of them were moderators, and I talk to them on a daily basis, plus we have our own private forum we talk on.

If you can't handle the members here who don't appreciate your attempt to make yourself feel better about your decision on getting the CL-S, please don't post here. And I, for one, am sick and tired of this particular forum becoming a penisenvy-TL-CL-Altima forum rather than a 5th gen Maxima forum. It's ridiculous and you are part of the problem, not the solution. You have a great car and are VERY fortunate to be able to drive it. Be happy and satisfied with that and move on with something else in your life.

Geez. He'll bust his tranny like every other cls out there and then complain about dealer service and how they won't cover him because he was out at the drag strip where acura technicians saw him He'll then get a G35coupe and start bashing the cls on cls boards

 

Acura service won't complain or have a problem fixing the car even if I took it to the strip. No one on the cl forum has not had a problem getting their car fixed with LOTS of mods, even NOS, except one guy of course. He had NOS and said he was racing and left everything in there. Well anyways, unlike Nissan I had a good experience with service this past weekend that not even a Nissan dealer would do.

 

Russ, I was complaining to you since you are part of the problem by constantly posting how superior your vehicle is. No one here really cares, believe it or not.

I asked you not to post CL and TL crap in here as it isn't relevant. It isn't a public forum. It is a controlled forum for Maxima enthusiasts, overseen by moderators. You do not have first amendment rights here.

The Max and the CL/TL are for DIFFERENT markets, thereby comparing them isn't applicable. A Max is several THOUSAND dollars cheaper, even to a CL which are going for near dealer cost nowadays (as the Maximas always seem to be).

Russ, everyone's perception is that you now dog Maximas at every single opportunity. The crap the other day with the J32 being so much smoother and quieter then the VQ was outright delusional. Then you come back with this thread. A week or so ago, you posted the depreciation values to further justify your Acura purchase.

My point? No one cares about your purchase, most here think you have zero financial sense, can't be fully trusted because your opinions change with the current vehicle you own, you will never gain everyone's approval here for every decision you make, and all of this discussion doesn't do one single thing to make Maximas better.
