I'm assuming the reason your 1/4 time is better than mine is from the launch....what is your 60' time and how were the conditions when you did the 14.8? Cause we have almost identical trap speeds...just wondering...

I couldn't get a good launch for $hit today and I have 245/45 tires that were at 25 psi. What do I need to do?

Best of 15.078@93.12
2.3 is a very decent 60ft time for street tires on a stick...
At which RPM do you shift ? I think shifts is what you should work on... wouldn't be the person to ask though, got automatic

I was shifting right at the redline...that seems to be the place to shift on the 3.0 VQ, especially with the y-pipe. Is that wrong?

Re: shifting

You need to shift right before the rev limiter cuts in. This should appear around 6700-6800rpm on your tach. This should help some.

i believe we need to go to redline which is @ 6600rpms. try to get as close to it as possible.

hawkdog: how were u launching? i found the best way to be to reving up to 3k and then slightly slipping the clutch. where in colorado is this track? asking about altitute...pretty good time if ur high up.

My 60 Foot was 2.305 .... conditions were a Marine layer, and low 70's....not the greatest, but not too hot either...

I ran this weekend too - first since I've gotten my vias fixed and put my mods back on. About 85 deg. by the time I ran; moderate humitidy (florida). Don't have the timeslip in front of me but:

60' 2.175
1/4 14.763
trap mid - 93.

Fed spec 2k 5spd; cattman y/SI/RT cat.

Oh, and 3/4 tank of gas.

Pilot Sports at 25 psi. Only got in two runs. Track was pretty sticky even after a few hours of racing

Launch at 4000-4500 and walk out the clutch. For the 5th gen, that is really the way to get your best 60' times. The 2.175 was my best ever.

First run was about a 2.3 60' at full inflation (I forgot to lower them). Not a good run all around but got 14.9xx
