The July 02 edition of Road and Track has an 11 car sports sedan comparison....of course the Maxima isnt included, no respect....anyway to my suprpise the Infinit G35 won the comparison. The G35 beat the BMW 330i, and the usual cars.......3.2TL-S, IS300, etc. It's unusal to see a mag. not rate the BMW tops......so kudos to Infiniti. I do agree with the article, the interior in the G35 isnt up to Infiniti standards......kinda reminds of the Altima....of course the G35 interior is nicer than the Atima....but you can tell infinit/nissan cut back too much for the car to be in this class of entry level luxury/sport. Will test drive the G35 sedan 6spd manual this fall.....the article states it will see production then.

I went to look at g35s.. I really liked the white ones until I noticed that the bumpers dont match. none of the white ones. Havent seen that since the 96-98 maximas...

also notice a little headlight fitment problem on one. thankfully its infiniti, you can get those things fixed without hassle..

I loved the car, tried to negotiate a price on one, and it wasnt even in the ballpark, they were screwing me big time on my Maxx.... But after doing some research oonline, Im seeing that no one is breaking the 15's with these cars in the 1/4..... thats strange.. any opinions on it. I would still take it, because it's RWD, and my Maxx reminds me of why I had never bought an import till now... I hate FWD !

I currently have an 96 Maxima, and I am picking up my new G35 tomorrow May 28, 2002, I will let you guys know how this car does and if there are any problems.

I'm so happy Infiniti has got ral recognition now. Nissan Corp. has had such rotten lock in the USA with their Infiniti line for so many years despite making genuinely good cars. I think if you factory reliability, they're much better than European luxury marques, but so far they didn't have the sales. Nissan has gone to great lengths to make this new G35 a competition killer. The G35 may be the spiritual successor and higher evolution of the Max while the '04 Max becomes a bloatier poor-man's FWD Lexus GS430.

No... I talking about kloogy's claim that owners of the G35 have not been able to break into the 14's in the 1/4 mile. I wanted to know where he saw that.

Nice body, ok interior, very choppy ride.
Any car can be made to handle with stiff springs and stiff shocks.

Not interested. Like my 2k SE, despict its' choppy ride as well.

Could you list the cars from 1-11 in order of who won? I am curious to see how it played out. Also, what are the numbers for the G35, 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc...? Great job Infiniti, & thanks!

JULY issue!! It's freakin' MAY! And I must be behind the times b/c my newstand only has June's issue - whatever. Maybe it's June of '03?
