2k3 Maxima SE

Saw one today while I was at the dealership. Heart and Soul is still the same as 2k2 SE. Here are the cosmetic changes:

- Wheel (these are shiny compared to 2k2, not gun metal as speculated)
- Accent steering / shift boot stitching
- sill plate (like the AE)
- Titanium tint on center Stack
- Compass in rear view mirror

The one I saw was "Sheer Silver" -- Looks good but I still think the Sterling Mist parked right beside it looks a tad better -- that's personal opinion though

The tail-light is identical to 2k2 model and I looked closely and compared it side by side with a 2k2 to make sure it wasn't tinted...

Ordered a Glacier Pearl (liked it over sheer silver) and expecting delivery soon...

Forgot to mention that the 2k3 SEs are about 20 lbs heavier than the 2k2s -- it must be those new wheels as I don't see the compass / stitching / sill plate weight that much

I want to get a compass on my rearview mirror. I want to be cool like the future 2k3 owners.

just a regular old rear view mirror with a little square that displays the direction in which you are traveling.

Nissan needs to update their site (nissandriven.com). It shows the 2003 model...but the pictures in the gallery are the same as the 2002.

Anybody take a firsthand look at the package yet?
I'm wondering just how difficult its gonna be to match the steering wheel. Everything else sounds easy to upgrade.

I think one thing needs to be added... the Titanium Edition costs $999, but includes the Bose sounds system, the side impact airbags and floor mats off the regular features list. Those three items alone will cost you more on the SE than with the Titanium Edition vehicle. You get the special chromed wheels, stainless steel sill plates and stitching for free then!

Am I right? That is what the Nissan website says.

I think I will be tooling around in a '03 SE - TE in a couple months....

What interior leather colors does the Glacier Pearl come with? I want the white exterior, but really want black leather too. How much did you pay for your 2K3?

Tan/Frost colored leather.

I ordered the 2k3 for MSRP(cdn $37400) - cdn$2000, which is about $23,074.88 US dollars. This is b4 freight/pdi tax, etc.

Is that good price?

Answer: Hell Yes, that's a good price! You're telling me that MSRP on it was only $23K US? Or was that the invoice price? I live in Seattle, Wa...I'm starting to wonder whether it would be cost-beneficial for me to buy my car up in B.C., and then export it back to the States.

I would definitely look into that if I were you...

sounds like added niceties to clear out room for a new maxima.

of course we all know that it's coming by 2k4. but isn't it kinda early for 2k3 models??

Reminds me of the '99 SE-Limited model before the 2K models came out.

The redesigned 2K4 model will be on car lots about this time next year so they released the 2K3 models early to give them a year on the lots.

According to Edmunds web site, the $1,000 cash back is not available on the 2003 models. Then again, the depreciation on resale (2002 vs 2003) will be more than $1,000!

Are all 2003's made in the US?
