No real way, dont know why someone would want to steal the Navi screen. It is not usuable in any car and it is not easy to remove for a theif.

Just tint the car.

I spoke to the Infinity dealer. I wont give out specifics since I know that we dont have an all honesty borad here, but a Navi screen off a 2K2 Max is worth NOTHING ! . The Navigation Unit itself is hidden in a difficult area to access, and NOT in you passenger area. So if they try to get it, they shoould no its worth nothing ! Each navi unit has a serial number to the GPS satellite, they must match up, or it wont work ! So if you report yours stolen, it wont work again on anyones car....

Thats not exactly true.. GPS is not two way, you can lock regardless. I think you are thinking of OnStar, and that would be serialized.

They'd probably try to grab your 6 disc changer out of your trunk if they know it comes with the Navi

I'm sure..

I'm sure its chock full of anti theft technology... just like our HIDs. :/

I suspect that the Nav must be handshaked to the ECU so it can get vehicle speed.. you'd need a consult II for that.. plus, I'm also sure that the wiring would be near impossible to steal in working order. And, I'm sure there is a GPS box. It may be serialized to the car, I was just saying the GPS sats dont care. Even if it was, a consult II could handshake it as well.

think is, as long as there is an Ebay and people stupid enough to buy a nav unit with wires hanging off and a description like "I wrecked my car... blah blah..", then some meth fiend will try to steal it.

perhaps fabricate a plastic cover panel that you could somehow clip over the center console?

i currently throw a towel over my shift **** to thwart theft. (shiny chrome/ faux carbon fiber razo shifters attract rice thieves)
