HID question

Does anyone notice the HID's kind of flicker for a split second when they start up? Is this normal? Do they seem to start off really bluish and then turn white or are my eyes just adjusting to the color?

They do that; it's just normal. My father's S-type does the same thing.

It's normal (and pretty cool if you ask me!). It even says so in the instruction manual. It also says if they start to turn a reddish tint that they are about to fail. That would probably be kinda freaky looking.
