Rotating Tires

Hey quick question
my max is approaching 9K miles and i haven't rotated my tires yet. I'm overdue right? And i know its important to keep the treads evenly used but how necesary is it to performance really. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it's overdue. They should be rotated at 7500 mile intervals... I do mine every other oil change so I don't forget.

What if you forgot whether or not you did them the last oil change or not?

What do you do when the tires are one diretion only?? You only have the choice of switching front to rear and viceversa staying always on the same side??

With directional tires, you can only rotate them from front to back (on the corresponding side). You can't do front driver's side to rear passenger side. That would reverse the tread patteren, which is very bad.

If you always go front to rear and keep the car in proper alignment you will be fine.
