so, in an effort to do alittle more of my own mx on the Max, and maybe a tad of modding, I went and picked up some ramps. they are your standard 6 or 7 inch rise ramps. but they simply wont clear the front cap. I'm only needing about an inch more.. heh, maybe I need to air the tires up to 50psi and change my oil kidding of course. Oh well, just kinda bummed me out.

Put a cut piece of 2 by 4 in front of the ramps. Make sure they are about 2 inches from the start of the ramp. Drive up on these. That will allow you to raise up enough to drive up the ramp. After driving up, use the 2 by 4's to chock the rear wheels. Be sure to put the 2 by 4's back again behind the ramps when you back down.

Extenders

The first time I changed the oil on my Maxima it went up the ramps fine, but I scraped the paint off the bottom of the front bumper on the way down.

If you have the Tru-Cut Ultra ramps (which I do), you can get ramp extenders that solve the problem from griotsgarage.com (and probably other sources). The extenders solve the problem nicely...

I had the same problem but any auto parts store should sell extenders which is what worked for me.

MaxPilot's budget approach with the 2x4's has worked for me for years on my Eibach lowered '94 Z28.
