I noticed a couple of small spots of Clear Coat failure on my hood while applying a coat of wax. They look like small water spots except the spot has small hairline cracks throughout. I'm fairly certain this is Clear Coat failure.

Anyone else seen this ?

I think my build date was 8/1/01. I have not shown to dealer yet.

 

I have it over my rear well arch.. exactly what you describe.

I've been waiting a full year.. yes, a year!! for Nissan to look at it. Supposedly, after 4 calls (every few months to ask what was happening), they will be looking at it in the next few days.

sadly, I'm not really surprised.

my build date is 6/99

 

You guys might want to compare WHERE your cars were built.
