Pictures of my shiny lowered Maxima: Progress and AGX
#13
Thanks for the compliments! I've noticed my car getting more attention on the road. Not stolen yet. I have to be careful where I park.
This was the first time I tried Mothers Clay Bar and Liquid Glass Polish/Finisher.
Both products gave excellent results. The clay bar was amazing, removing the surface contaminants and leaving the paint silky smooth, which made polishing the car easier. Everyone should try it once. It was easy to use.
The Liquid Glass product was nice because it eliminated a step. It polishes AND protects. I used Meguiars Step 2 Polish and Step 3 Wax before.
Tomorrow, it will have been one week since I took those pictures. It's been raining this week in Boston, and more is forecast, but when it's over I'll use some quick detailing spray and see how the Liquid Glass has held up.
I did the springs and shocks at the same time. I don't think changing shocks would affect ride height, but maybe someone has experienced a difference? Steve Kusek of FrankenCar Performance modified my AGX to fit. He modified AGX for his own car, so I trusted him to know what to do.

I put more pictures in my Webshots album.
More Pictures
woosh: I didn't do anything special, I just followed the directions for the clay bar and the liquid glass. I did do two coats of the liquid glass on the hood and roof. I didn't have time for more coats that day, but I will soon.
smax369: The ride feels smoother on good roads, and it feels a little harsher than stock SE on bad bumps (there are plenty of those around Boston). The AGX are set 2 Front, 4 Rear. There is much less body lean on hard turns, and it feels more confident in transitions. Highway ramps are even more fun than after getting the RSB. Squatting on acceleration and brake diving are much reduced.
