Question about RE92 tires...

I am really tired of my RE92 Potenzas and want to change them to something else.
Problem is that my RE92 are almost brand new and I don't want to just throw them away.
Is it possible to get new tires from some place and try to trade RE92s in? Will any places do that??

Thanks.

I've heard that Discount Tire would do that.

I'd try to sell them here or run an eBay auction...

before trading them in. You're likely to get more selling them yourself than you'll get in trade.

Most tire dealers will do that...at least here in my town. Trouble is it's just like trading in a car, they don't want to give you much for your RE92s and want you to pay retail for the new ones. A second problem is the Maxima SE has that oddball 225/50/17 size. Dealers have very little demand for that size so they'll want to give you even less. I tried to do the same thing and the best I could do was $750 trading up to a Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Couldn't see spending an addition $750 when I already had a set of tires. Good luck! Let us know if you can pull it off.
