Few days ago I emailed KYB about 1999 struts fitting 2000-2001 maximas. Here;s the answer I got from them:

1999 struts/shocks will not fit the 2000 Maxima.

Kyb GR-2s more than likely, no AGXs as of now I believe, unless KYB is pulling a fast one on us 5th gen owners

That seems to be the GR2 part numbers. As far as AGX goes they won't have it till next year.

I even talked to a couple of people at KYB about how Cattman modified his and to see if whether or not KYB might want to just do that really minor mod on their current 4th gen AGX so that it'll still come with factory warranty but they don't seem to fancy that idea.

I doubt they'll make a new strut from the ground up, if anything they'll probably just do what Cattman did. Now, if that were the case... i just don't see why they can't start doing it now.
