Trip Computer Question

Is there anyway to make that timer stop? Not just reset, but stop and stay at 0 ? I know we've discussed how the MPG seems off. I also think the "DTE" (distance to empty) is way off too. I pumped 15 gallons of gas , which should have left me with at least 3 gallons, and my DTE said I only has 50 mile to empty.
