Is there any way to get the wax off?

Thanks.

I've heard use peanut butter, something about the oils in it will take the wax off the trim.

I user turtle wax 2001 finish, bright green bottle. And sprayed some on a rag and scrubed it off. All better after that.

I checked out that link and I used Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil. It worked like a charm!

Thanks for your help.

Not sure about the splash guards, but oils are harmful to plastics so be sure to clean that off too.

I put a heavy coat of Armorall on exterior rubber parts without wiping it off before waxing. Any wax I get on them wipes off easily with the Armorall after buffing.

Works good as long I don't rub the wax in and makes waxing a lot easier and quicker.

Those guys on the Autopia website are the most detail detailers I every seen. They will have you spending your money on stuff you would never thought you would buy to clean your car and they will have you quit using stuff you use to swear by.

So you can pretty much go by what they say. There are a couple of org people that are regulars on that board like PrinzII and Maximus1000.

you guys do know

that mothers and a few other companys make a product called back 2 black(dont have to be used on black ) that will fix this problem it makes rubber and plastic shine like new and I has stuff in it to get the old wax on you molding and trim turn back to black or what ever color it was.

Some splashguards aren't painted... they are a flat black plastic. Wax doesn't come off with buffing, looks bad and attacks the plastic.

Painted splashguards shouldn't be bothered by wax as you suggest.

I use vegetable oil with some vinegar and salt and pepper. If any is left over I use it on a salad.
