Just like the subject line says, I'm looking for a pair of 5th Gen stock front strut assemblies. Blown units are fine, as I'll be modifying them to accept Koni inserts. Let me know what you've got and what you'll take. Thanks.

Wow!! Clicked on your webpage and saw the accident pics. I'm amazed you survived. What are your thoughts on the Cattman KYB's? I'm trying to decide between them and Koni's. If I go with the Koni's I'd rather have the front struts ready to go prior to tearing into the car. That's why I'm looking for a set of factory front strut assemblies. Any idea what you'd need to get for the front units?

KYB AGX gives you all you need out of a maxima. I had my eibachs and kyb agx set to the lowest settings and rides way better than tokicos and eibachs. i'm SORRY to say i'm switching back to tokicos and eibach tho, because the modded 4th gen agx seems to give hell when it comes to wheel alignment and i can't get my wheel alignment corrected yet. I did several wheel alignment already. I will buy the 5th gen agx when kyb comes out with it next year and i'll ride tokicos until then....i hate to wait, but it worth it. until then am back to tokicos...good thing i didn't sell them. i only used them for a month.

That's something I hadn't yet heard about the Cattman AGX's. I wouldn't be surprised if there were slight geometry differences between the 4th & 5th Gen front suspensions that would cause alignment difficulties. I expect my intent to use Koni inserts in the stock assemblies should pose no such problem. I'd rather do all the labor intensive work of modifying the assemblies for the Koni's without disabling my car though. That's the reason for the inquiry. What do you need to get for the stockers you've got from your previous car? Let me clear out that corner of your garage.
