Rust spots

Well, I can officially say I am p*ssed at Nissan. I have had my max for 5.5 months and as I was drying the trunk lid after a good bath I found rust spots along both sides of the lid. There are 3 on one side and 2 on the other. I want to get this fixed but I dont want touch up paint so it looks crappy. I cant believe they would be that cheap to allow this!!!

Actually, I am taking my car to Nissan tomorrow to ask them about my paint. They already repainted my hood, but now under my door sill the paint is kinda fading and has a rough finish. I am not sure what is going on. Also, on my roof I am getting these white spider web type things. Nissan hasn't given me a problem regarding the paint before, but I have legit complaints (moisture under paint etc). Every car gets paint chips on the hood from everyday driving. I don't expect them to fix/explain them.

I have them too.

You think the rust spots are bad now, just imagine how the paint will look 4,6, 8 years from now.

That is, if there is any paint left on this POS. 5000 miles, and the front and rear bumpers are pitted and scratched to oblivion. A fleck of paint a 1/4" in diameter is GONE on my driver-side door.

This will be my first and last Nissan.

Went down to the dealer and the service guy told me that one of the other guys has to look at it and he wont be in till monday. No big deal. He said once the other guy looks at it they determine what should be done and they possibly have to call Nissan to have them come look at it. Its like 18 different steps for one little thing...God I love corporate America..

Yeah I kinda figured that was going to happen. When I got my hood repainted the Service Manager had to document it and contact the Nissan paint people. The paint people then called nissan back to arrange an appt. with me. They were real cool, I came on a Sat. during the time of my choice. Within 2 days the claim went through and 2 days after that my car was in the shop. It takes a little time but at the end things work out ... patience
