Weird occurrance?!

This is an event that my wife says supposedly happend to her in our 2k2 max recently - I havent had it happen to me and she says it only happened once so I'll ask you guys cause I'm tired of her nagging me, and to lazy to read the book. Last week it got to about 90 up here in western washington(Tacoma)- which is rare- but she says that at lunch time she went to her car and was going to get something from mickey dees. She says she turned on the ac full blast and drove off, about a minute later the sunroof openend fully and remained open until the temp inside the car cooled down a bit and then it automatically closed. As she is the scarry type she said she almost ran off the road but- I believe her. It hasn't got hot enough to see if it will happen again. In a way I think that would be a cool feature but does anybody know what gives? Our car is always garaged and only has 6k miles on it. Any comments would be appreciated.

My guess is that something tripped the sunroof to open (at least one person has reported this happening) and then it tripped to close. The conclusion that it was related to the interior temperature was probably an assumption on your wife's part. It may be related to heat but I don't believe its something intentional.

In the computer industry we refer to those kinds of things as "undocumented features". But laymen just call them "bugs".
