Another recall - this time for sticking accelerator pedal

I had my Max in on Saturday for the transverse link fix, and at the same time I had another recall handled. This was the "sticking accelerator pedal" recall. It involved replacement of the bumper behind the accelerator pedal, which has apparently caused some accelerators to stick.

The car feels no different, however these are pretty serious issues and my suggestion would be to get your ride in quickly for the fix. Took about 5 hours, but I petitioned Nissan and they paid for a rental car.

Just want to keep this information flowing....and everybody safe.

LOL, dude you really need to do searching before you post. This has been known about for a while, and it's on the Nissandriven.com site, and we've mostly been notified by mail. Thanks for the heads up though, I appreciate your concern. Just check to make sure something hasn't been discussed already before you post about it. Use the "search" button at the top.

No need to LOL brother, since a search of this site returned no info on "sticking accelerator pedal", except for some discussion on a dirty throttle body. Dissemination of info is what we're here for and I'm sure there are others out there, like me, that are crossover enthusiasts coming from other vehicles to the Max. Spreading info on a safety related recall shouldn't be any problem, right?

Anyway, I did not know that there was info on nissandriven.com about recalls so will check into it. Thanks for that.

Peace.

Dude, I ain't laughing at ya. Laughing in general there have been like 3-4 threads started about recalls we already know about. Again, thanks for the concern. I'd MUCH rather have a lot of threads on a recall then on something like, lets say,.3 mpg difference in gas mileage or indiglo door sills.

I haven't read any of them and had no idea about the sticking accelerator pedal

At least they're fixing the problems. And I'll still take my 255HP and HID's any day.

Its the recall to put the accelerator stopper in, it is not a sticking pedal.
