Spacers with rims?

Anybody put spacers on their rims.... I have 18X8 racing hart rims.. but don't like the look... it's not wide enough. The rims still hide underneath the fender. Are spacers good ideas...been hearing a lot of bad things about them.

It's an offset problem if your gonna correct it with spacers you might have problems in the future.Should have gotten a 40mm offset or a 35mm . Maybe it would work if the Maxima was rear wheel drive but the whole spacer and wider wheels in the rear is a no no there are things called bearings in cars and they shouldn't be stressed cause they tend to grind lol.
