Difference between 2k and 2k2 OEM mufflers?

I kinda like muffler tips off of the 2k2. Can these be removed and attached to a 2K muffler? If there's no difference in mufflers, it can be done easy..

In all sense the tips are only different. You can remove them since they are part of the muffler. Unless you want to cut them and reweld them on yours.

I heard that the 2k2 mufflers were modified, compared to 2k and 2k1, but I could be wrong

Every 5th Gen has the special muffler that opens up its second pipe under heavy load. Why don't you just remove the exhaust finisher off of your 2K. You should have the 2 pipes similar to the 2K2.
