how many windshield chips does everyone have? i have about 3 or4 now thanks to some dumb truck i didn't see in front of me til it was too late. i went to this tint shop and we were talking and he said nissan gets there glass form mexico like alot of other companies.

if you ask me this sh#t is cheap.
its bad enough we have paint that chips if a butterfly hits it, now we got cheap glass too. i never had a car have this much a problem with glass. give it up to GM for having better glass!!!

I don't think the glass is cheap. Every car I've ever owned has had chips in the windshield. I went through 3 windshields in my Prelude over 10 years. Friggin cars front end was so low it scouped up everything. I tend to keep a good following distance from the car in front of me and avoid following trucks. The paint on the very front of my car is almost perfect sill after almost 50K miles and my glass is just fine.

 

Not really. My wifes last car, Cavaliar...had worse glass than the Max. When the sun hit it...forget it...you could not see a doggone thing. One of the many reasons to ditch it.

 

when the light hits it at a certain angle, it's as if someone threw a translucent blanket over my whole car.

 

Yea i've noticed a couple of scratches and chips on my windshield from rocks and debris on the highway. I guess theres not much we can do about it? Anyone have any suggestions as to how to solve this problem?? THanks

 

rock hit mine yesterday and shattered the hell out of it! it was spidered out about 2-3 feet in diameter. i got a new one today! just put it in 2 hours ago! hopefully this one will hold up better!

from autozone it is windsheld repair kit it cost about 8 bucks It did compleatly get rid of the chip but the crack around it is still there but you cant really see it .I have a new chip that has not started to crack yet I will try to fix in tomorrow and post some photos.
